Old-Lady Shopping

My sister and I have a funny, little hobby we enjoy together. Arizona is known for its retirement communities, and elderly people seem to enjoy giving stuff away... so!!!! Sun City has a plethora of thrift stores and consignment shops filled with random stuff. Heather and I like to go through and see if we can find treasures. Mostly, we just enjoy looking at things people give away. Because most of the stuff we come across was either donated by a old lady or looks like something an old lady might buy, we call it "Old-Lady Shopping." Today, we celebrated her 19th birthday with old-lady shopping and Starbucks. (Btw... if your computer savvy enough to read a blog, chances are you do not qualify as an "old lady," so please don't be offended)

We found some old books, a cute necklace, a fifteen year old recipe book, a really nice pair of shorts, a skirt and a cute blouse. Together we only spent $12.00. The blouse and shirt actually came from a really cool consignment shop called Other Mothers.

We ended our day with some yummy frappuccinos!!!!
